Who we share information with
BLS shares only what is reasonably needed with appointed hauliers, waste-transfer stations and disposal facilities; highway or local authorities; property or site contacts authorised for the booking; email, telephone, hosting, security, accounting, payment and business-software providers; insurers, legal or professional advisers; regulators, police or courts where required.
BLS may use independent suppliers to fulfil services. Those suppliers receive the site, contact, access and waste information required for the job. BLS does not sell personal information.
International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, BLS will use an adequacy regulation, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism, and will apply appropriate security measures.
How long we keep information
BLS keeps personal information only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal duties, complaints and claims. Enquiries that do not become bookings are reviewed and removed when no longer needed. Booking, invoice and accounting records are normally retained for six years from the end of the relevant company financial year, and longer only where the law, an investigation or a live dispute requires it. Operational photographs, access records and complaint evidence are kept only for the period reasonably needed for safety, service verification or claims.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed; access your information; correct inaccurate information; request erasure or restriction; object to processing; receive portable information; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use. Not every right applies to every record, and BLS may need to retain information where the law or a legal claim requires it.
To make a request, email info@blswaste.com. BLS may need reasonable information to verify identity and locate the records.
Website forms, cookies and analytics
Website forms collect the information shown in the form so BLS can respond to the enquiry or quotation request. A short privacy message and link to this notice should appear at the point of collection. Non-essential analytics or third-party storage/access technologies must not be activated until the required consent has been given. See the Cookie Policy.
Security
BLS uses proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet or email system is completely risk-free; please contact BLS promptly if you believe information has been compromised.
